If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen lots of pictures of printed things over the last week.
Today we’re adding screen printed gift tags and kits for felt ornaments to the shop. All of the proceeds from these goods will be donated to Shelter. Shelter estimate that 120,000 children will be homeless this Christmas. In a country this well off that is baffling. It’s absurd. It’s horrible. So Shelter felt like a good place to donate money to.
The gift tags come in sets of 4 and are screen printed onto recycled card. Each set of 4 costs £2.50.
The tags are blank on the back for your own message. The bottom set would be especially good for adding care instructions to a gift.
The felt decoration kits come as printed panels which you cut out and glue or sew together and add a hanging loop. We’ve added a skein of embroidery thread too. Each panel has 8 decorations printed on it, so you can have 4 double sided decorations. Each kit costs £5.
So that was the plan for tonight’s update. Tags and decorations with all of the proceeds going to Shelter.
And then the US election happened. And I felt that I wanted to do something else to raise funds for Stonewall. Stonewall campaign for acceptance without exception. That feels even more necessary now than it did 48 hours ago.
So – socks!
Self striping socks in DK Merino and nylon, spun in Yorkshire from wool which is grown and processed in the UK. DK socks are wonderfully quick to knit and a single 100 gram skein will be enough for feet up to a size 8.
This yarn was destined for the Knitting and Stitching show in a couple of week’s time, but it will be added to the shop tonight and 50% of the proceeds from it will be donated to Stonewall. We’ll keep donating that same 50% for every skein of this yarn we sell until the end of the year.
There are plenty of colour choices for you.
The shop update takes place at 1900 this evening. Make sure you never miss out on an update by signing up for our newsletter.
