A Few Changes

For a long time we’re run the shop update on a Friday evening at 1900.

In a lot of ways it’s a nice time. It’s the start of the weekend for lots of folk.

What it does mean is that orders don’t go to the post office until Monday and don’t arrive with UK customers until Tuesday. That seems slow.

Technology has moved on wonderful amount since we launched our first website. I don’t think iphones existed. No one had a tablet. If you wanted to look at anything online you needed a computer, and that meant being at home or work for most people. Not any more!

I know from instagram and twitter that lots of your are online during the day.

So for the next few weeks we’re going to move the shop update so that it goes live at 1300 on Thursday. This should mean that anyone who orders fast will get their yarn on Friday, and anyone who orders on Thursday evening will get their yarn on Saturday (that’s for the UK).

On Wednesday there will be a blog post with some highlights of what will be in the next update.

On Thursday there will be a blog post with everything new – and because you’ll be able to buy things straight away I can add links to everything to make it easier to shop.

The newsletter will still go out on Thursday and will continue to offer subscriber discounts and other offers. Make sure you don’t miss out and sign up now.

This week’s update is all about screen printed fat quarters.

We’ll have 4 great designs, each available in 24 colours.

We launched the fat quarters at Edinburgh Yarn Festival and they came close to selling out. It’s taken a little while to get the next batch printed as we’ve had to wait for colours to come back into stock. When you see the full range tomorrow I hope you’ll agree it was worth the wait.
