Those of you who read the blog last Friday will already know that we’ve announced our first charity to support in 2016 – and a new way of doing it.
In case you missed it
Then something else new – not new yarn, but a new way for us to donate to charity.
In the past we’ve dyed limited edition yarns – it’s been great fun but it’s time for a change.
For 2016 we’re going to donate the proceeds of everything that ends up in the sale section of the shop – so not only will you be giving a good home to some yarn, but also helping others too.
For the first three months of 2016 we’ll be donating funds to Shelter – a brilliant charity doing great things for people living in horrible circumstances.
If there’s a charity you’d like to see us support please get in touch via the contact us form.
In the past we’ve supported charities chosen by the Knitting Goddesses (and Gods) group on Ravelry. It’s felt like the right time to open this up so more of our customers can have a say.
As I’ve said above, for the first 3 months of 2016 we’ll be donating money to Shelter – and after that I’m open to suggestions.
The charity needs to be registered as a charity in the UK.
If we get lots of suggestions – and I hope we do – I’ll set up a poll so that we go with the most popular choice.
