We have two new yarns this week – both utterly gorgeous.
The first is a high twist 4ply sock yarn – 100% superwash Bluefaced Leicester wool. The high twist means that you get fewer meters ona skein – so to compensate this will be sold in 110 gram skeins which will each have 385 meters of yarn. Each 110 garm skein will cost £14.00.
I’ve been testing a skein of this for my sock madness socks – and despite having to knit with 1.5mm needles the yarn has been a pleasure to work with – and the stitch definition is stunning.
There will be 20 semi solid colours available
Then the second new yarn – when Bobbie got her hands on this she decided it’s the nicest yarn she’s ever felt. So you can take it as read that it feels utterly gorgeous. The yarn is 50% mulberry silk and 50% merino – it’s a 4ply but a slightly fine one – so you get 495 meters to each 100 gram skein, and this opens up lots more possibilities for single skein shawls and scarves. This will sell at £16.50 for a 100 gram skein.
The update will take place at 1800 tomorrow – that’s a hour earlier than usual.
We won’t be at home for the update – we’ll be in Solihull all ready for the Stitch Solihull event on Saturday – more details here. Nic’s Knots and Sparkleduck have also been added to the line up – and there are rumours of a three tier carrot cake!
