There are lots of new yarns for tomorrow’s update including lots of self striping sock and BRITSOCK.
First up the self striping sock yarns
Charcoal and Plum
Red and Blue – as someone pointed out at Yarndale this would make perfect socks for Superman.
Greebo – I loved these colours as a same difference so I thought I’d turn them into self striping sock yarn too.
Then there’s self striping BRITSOCK
There’s the next lunar series yarn
There’s more sock yarn
Love Lies Bleeding
These two colours are also available as SparkLynne 4ply
Love Lies Bleeding
There are 3 new colours of 4ply merino and tencel
semi solid heather
semi solid raspberry
semi solid turquoise
Finally for the update there are 2 new colours of laceweight merino tencel
semi solid coal
semi solid gunmetal
Then on to open studio.
Wool Week runs form the 14th to the 20th of October. On Saturday 19th of October we’ll be opening the workshop doors to visitors so you’re very welcome to pop in and see us.
Doors will be open from 1100 until 1500, and I’ll be joined by Rachel ‘Coopknits’ Coopey and Nic ‘Nic’s Knots’ Lucas. Rachel will have copies of her books, Nic will have knitting bags, needle rolls and other goodies and we’ll have a selection of yarn available. There will also be the chance to handpaint your own skein of yarn and to have a look at what’s in the dye pots. I will be able to take card payments unless O2 decides to play up in a spectacular manner.
The workshop address is
The Old Stable
Back Grange Avenue
It’s on a little back street so there’s no parking right outside, but it’s possible to park in one of the surrounding streets.
The street is cobbled and a bit uneven, and the workshop itself has some uneven flooring at the entrance. The majority of the workshop is not accessible by wheelchair ( there’s a huge table in the middle which gives me fantastic work space but which limits the amount of room at the side). If you have any mobility issues please PLEASE email me via the website so that we can work out what we can to do to make this work for you.
If you’re thinking of coming it would be lovely if you could drop me an email to let me know, just so I make sure there are enough biscuits. I’d hate to run out of biscuits…..
So happy shopping for tomorrow, and I hope to see lots of you a week on Saturday.
