Ideas for yarns come from all sorts of places. Sometimes it’s a picture. Sometimes words – a description, a poem, a line of a song. Most of our charity yarn ideas are suggested by members of the Knitting Goddesses (and Gods) group on ravelry. One of the knit alongs we’re having this year is literary themed, and we’ve also been discussing ideas for yarns based on local heroes. So it was only a matter of time before someone suggested Beatrix Potter. There has been much exiting listing of favourite characters. I thought I’d start with one of my favourites.
And a cute white little bobtail.
Inspired by Peter Rabbit.
Next up is the latest yarn from when Granny Weatherwax Knits Socks – Gaspode.
You can also buy the pattern from Rachel Coopey – you’ll find it here.
There are new sock yarns
There’s more 4ply merino and bamboo
Finally there’s 4ply alpaca, silk and cashmere
I’ve had a couple of emails from customers who were concerned that their January club yarns hadn’t reached them. We decide that 2013 clubs would be posted on the third Monday of each month – so for January we’ll be posting on the 23rd. Invoices for February (and fr every other month) will go out on the 15th and you’ll have until the 1st of the next month to pay.
If you’ve already signed up for a club, you’ll receive an invoice for February next week. If you haven’t joined us yet and would like to then you can now sign up for February club places.
