I can’t quite believe that the end of the year is sneaking up so fast – and it means that it’s time for us to launch the 2012 yarn clubs.
First up is our sock yarn and pattern club with patterns from designer Rachel Coopey. The colours and patterns will be inspired by characters, events and places from the Discworld series – and that meant that we had to call it When Granny Weatherwax Knits Socks. Although the lady herself may well have approved of our love of colour and circular needles, we’re sure she’d love the end result. Even if she’d never admit it.
The second club is for yarns only and allows you to choose any of the yarn bases we carry in either a multicoloured or semi solid option.
Both clubs will be in the shop from 1900 tomorrow and will remain open until 15th December or until we have no more spaces left.
Then we have a couple of SparkLynne yarns for you – some more of the peppermint which flew out of the shop last time, and the loving named Pants yarn which combines Lynne’s favourite coral with her most hated yellow. 50% of the price of all our SparkLynne yarns will be donated to Macmillan cancer support until the end of the year.
We’ve also restocked several of the semi solid sock yarns including violet, raspberry and coral.
There’s a restock of Swoosh which stayed in stock for about a minute last time.
Finally there’s a yarn which I didn’t ever expect to be putting in the shop – Autumn Pleasures by Kim. This was the winning yarn in our Fibre Flurry competition and having the only big skein of it was part of the prize. Lots of you have asked for this yarn, and the lovely Kim has very generously said that of course we can make more of it – so it will be a Macmillan yarn on a permanent basis.
