Inspired by a Monkey and a Sweetie

Ideas for yarn colours come from all over the place – and some of the ones I enjoy most start as suggestions from other people.

When I let the Knitting Goddesses (and Gods) group on ravelry know about the Let’s Knit award, there was a suggestion that there should be some new colours to celebrate.

Mad Monkey Creeper was inspired by the suggestion of warm autumn colours and wood. It’s name pays tribute to the suggestor (and if that’s not a word it should be), and the colours of Virginia Creeper as they flame into autumn. Thanks WillaMenace!

True Colours

This was inspired by the grey and dull sea colours of winter, plus pale winter sun – and rose coloured glasses to brighten the dull days. The colours and name were both suggested by the lovely Joan who is a sweetie of the highest order.

Both yarns will be available in the shop this afternoon.
