May 1st – 7th is the national week of weaving spinning and dyeing.
To celebrate this and to raise some funds for Macmillan cancer support, my friend Su and I are running a competition over on the Knitting Goddesses (and Gods) group on ravelry.
We each have 100g of merino and silk, and over the week we’ll be spinning the fibre and plying it up so you have a yarn that works for knitting, crochet or weaving. To win, you need to guess how many meters of yarn we’ll produce between us. The closest guess will get whichever skein they’d prefer and the runner up will get the other skein.
If you’d like to join in, here what you need to do.
First, go the our just giving page and donate £1 for each guess that you’d like to make.
Then head over to ravelry, and post your guess or guesses in the win some yarn thread.
