Finished Object and New Yarn

By theknittinggoddess

Ok, so it’s not knitting. I finally finished the daisy chain necklace I’ve been making at silversmithing class.

The big, big difference between silversmithing and knitting is that the former is much less forgiving. There’s no deciding that you want something a little bigger and ripping back, so it’s been a great lesson in thinking rather than just going ahead. Next under the saw will be some silver stitch markers with words punched into them.

On the dyeing front, our double knit silk is finally stocked up again. I adore this yarn apart from when I’m trying to get skeins and skeins of it dry. In spite of some very grim weather, there are 14 colourways in the shop.

Somewhere in the muddle we call home is a finished sock in merino tencel – I’m just not 100% sure where that somewhere is. Photos soon. Honest.
